QGC are developing their Northern Development Area (NDA) and have constructed a new 300-pax accommodation and office hub. Main driver is reduction of travel (km) for the project group and the need to locate a significant workforce closer to the work front as part of the “Sustaining Wells 2020+”.

This project involves a complete turn key design and construction solution of a purpose-built camp via a Concept Design, from there a D&C Contractor was awarded and the project was further developed into a detailed design. The site is within the Western Downs Regional Council – 40 km west from Wandoan.

Notable Achievements:

Successful treatment of local CSG water from holding pond to supply the camp with potable water.

Installation of Telstra 4GX Small Cell Tower to boost mobile service coverage to camp as well as community stakeholders.
